Where do i get bed curtains for my canopy bed?

Can you not use normal drapery? I recall seeing Debbie Travis doing this. She used normal draper (Debbie Travis Drapery, of course, from Canadian Tire) and she used a normal bistro curtain rod to hand the curtains. . .
